My love for wedding photography comes from two places. The more obvious one is photography itself. Creating images and telling a story is something I love deeply.
But what I love equally as much (if not a little bit more) is having the honour/pleasure/privilege of witnessing and recording a story when people are are at their most vulnerable, shyest, happiest, dorkiest, craziest, most nervous and most euphoric. And not just the bride and groom but also family and friends.
Every wedding surprises me. People are infinite in their differences and that makes for a unique day every time I pick up my camera on the morning of a wedding. Every wedding has a different feeling… a different vibe. Tom and Thalia’s wedding started with reserved, almost pent up nerves and ended with an explosive release of laughter, tears, hugs, and a bit of off-key singing. It was awesome!
